Sara J. Garman

Sara Jane (Huber) Garman, 80, of Laureldale, died November 26, 2010 in the Reading Hospital.

She was married June 21, 1952 to the late William Howard Garman, Jr., who died July 19, 1991.

Born in the Reading Hospital on June 14, 1930, she was the daughter of the late James Huber and Esther Mae (Morgan) Huber-Stauffer.

She was a 1948 graduate of Reading High School.

Sara worked as a drop stitch mender with the Berkshire Knitting Mills.

She is survived by two children: James W. Sr., husband of Marjorie O. (Ochs) Garman of Exeter Township and Gail V. (Garman), wife of John M. Scarpaci of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include a daughter-in-law, Ann L. (Gartman) Garman of Birdsboro and eight grandchildren: David, Michael, Maryann, Jennifer, Jimmy, Robynn, Kati-Ayn and Christine.

There are also nine great grandchildren surviving.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Kris R. Mieczkowski and two children: William H. Garman III and Andrew W. Garman.

Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale with the Rev. Richard A. Leiby officiating.
