Sara Coco

Sara (Elmo) Coco, 81, of Reading, passed away December 19, 2008 in Reading Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of Santo J. Coco. On April 22, they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Pearl (Galata) Elmo.

She was a 1944 graduate of Reading High School.

Sara was an excellent Italian cook and a devoted wife, mother and Nana who enjoyed traveling with her family.

She was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, John S. Coco, Reading; two daughters, Nancy P., wife of Sidney Hurst, Denver; and Debra C., wife of Robert Finger, Hershey.

She is also survived by a sister, Mary, widow of Harry Lionti, Kenhorst.

Other survivors include two grandchildren, James D. Finger and Sarah Q. Finger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 322 South 5th Street, Reading, PA 19602. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township.
