Sandy Weitzel

Sandra "Sandy" Louise Weitzel (69), Shillington, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026 at Mifflin Center. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Ronald N. and Shirley A. (Wanner) Weitzel.

Sandy graduated from Wyomissing Area High School- Class of 1975. She attended Alvernia College. She was employed at Santander Bank in the clerical department for over 14 years. She concluded her working years alongside her nephew Zachary at his business, Delivery Dudes with clerical duties.

Sandy loved the color purple. She enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley. Animals brought her joy especially rabbits, cats, and her niece's dog, Bella. In her younger days she appreciated watching drag races at the Fairgrounds.

Though she offered few words she delighted in watching TV and playing games on her iPad. Sandy had a long struggle through the years socializing with family and was content to just be herself. She had a beautiful heart for all she loved faithfully caring for her parents during their later years. Her life mattered and she will certainly be missed.

Left to treasure her memory are her sister, Marjorie A. Kern (Craig Krouse) of Mohnton; brother, Steven R. Weitzel of Exeter Township; and nieces and nephews, Zachary Kern, Tyler Kern, Paul Weitzel, and Alexandra Weitzel.

Services will be private.
