Sandra E. Moyer

Sandra E. (Jacobs) Moyer, 75, passed away February 28, 2024, in her Reading residence.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Alfred R. and Dorothy E. (Berrett) Jacobs.

She was the loving wife of Eugene M. Moyer. They were married 54 years.

Sandra was a graduate of Reading High School in 1966 and Vo-Tech Nursing School where she earned her LPN certificate.

Throughout her professional journey, she had been employed at different nursing homes as an LPN, and her most recent workplace was Berks Visiting Nurse.

Sandra exemplified the qualities of love and compassion, consistently prioritizing the well-being of her patients and others above her own needs. Her family delighted in savoring her hamburgers, which were generously topped with flavorful peppers and onions, and cooked in a delectable special sauce. Additionally, Sandra found great joy in embarking on camping adventures with her loved ones at the picturesque Promise Land in The Pocono Mountains, creating cherished memories together.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, James L. Moyer, companion to Alma White, Hamburg; four sisters: Beverly A. Jacobs, Dorothea L. Zerbe, Jane M. Jacobs, and Alison R., wife of Joseph Wydawski; and two grandchildren, Thomas J. Heiser and Christina M. Heiser. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia M. Heiser; her twin brothers, Raymond J. Jacobs and Ronald L. Jacobs; and her sister, Patricia L. Prutzman.

At Sandra's request services will be private. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
