Samuel M. Russo

Samuel M. Russo, 92, died on January 6, 2007 in the Reading Hospital.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Geraldine E. Russo.

There are also four children, Geraldine A. Russo of Memphis, TN, Charles T. Russo of Birdsboro, Patricia A. (Russo)wife of H. Kirk Mathews of Cliffton Park, N.Y.; and Christopher J. husband of Rebecca S. Russo of Wescosville. Mr. Russo had three grandchildren: Christopher, Joseph and Isabelle. One brother, Charles F. Russo, Wyomissing and one sister, Rose (Russo) Fritz, Kenhorst also survive him.

He worked in the food business for over forty years. He began learning his trade at the Brunswick Hotel in Lancaster, PA. Later, he became the general manager of the Berkshire Hotel in Reading for twenty years. He completed his work career as general manager of the Reading Motor Inn until his retirement.

Mr. Russo was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. St. Catharine of Siena R.C. Church, Boyertown Pike, Exeter Twp. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. The family wishes that donations be sent to St. Catharine's Church 2427 Perkiomen Ave. Reading, PA 19606 in honor of Mr. Russo. Edward J.
