Samuel S. Diamont

Samuel S. Diamont, 84, formerly of West Douglass Street, died May 29 at 4:15 a.m. in Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Reading, where he had been a resident since Jan. 31, 2003.

He was the husband of Theresa M. (Sedoti) Diamont.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Dominic and Grace (Cocci) Diamont.

Diamont had been employed for 20 years as an ironworker by Ironworkers Local 420, Reading, retiring in 1983.

He was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Diamont is also survived by a daughter, Carol D. (Diamont) Reister, Newark, Del.

Other survivors include a sister, Ann (Diamont) Labosky, Springfield, Delaware County.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
