Samuel Cappadona

Samuel Cappadona, 86, of Wyomissing, died August 22, 2009 in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Mary A. (Mollica) Cappadona for 54 years.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Antonino and Vincenza (Scafidi) Cappadona.

He was employed as a packer by Continental Can, Reading, retiring in 1988.

Samuel was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading where he was an usher for many years.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in WWII.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Adrienne B., wife of Joseph M. Periandi, Reading and two sisters, Josephine, wife of Edward Ritz and Florence, widow of Richard Boone, all of Wyomissing.

Other survivors include several nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews and special friends.

He was predeceased by a sister, Rose Marie (Nina) Imwalle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
