Samuel "Sonny" W. Bolton, Jr., 72 of W. Brunswick Township and formerly of Hamburg died August 14th in the Reading Hospital & Medical Center. He was the husband of Judy A. (Martin) Bolton and they recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on August 9th. Sam was born in Hamburg and was the son of the late Samuel W. Bolton, Sr. and Kathryn M. (Degler) Bolton. He was a 1962 graduate of Hamburg Area High School and was a U. S. Coast Guard veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. Sonny worked for 35 years at the Hamburg Center as a boiler operator retiring in 1998. After retirement, Sam enjoyed attending yard sales and auctions. He also assisted his wife in her business, Judy B. Antiques and Collectibles, Orwigsburg. He enjoyed NASCAR and liked the St. Louis Rams. Sam was a life member of the Hamburg Fish & Game Association. He was a 47-year member of the Hamburg American Legion, Post # 637. Other memberships included Wagner-Good Post # 216, V.F.W. and Hamburg Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge # 523. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Carol wife of Patrick Cronrath, Schuylkill Haven, a son, Samuel W. Bolton, III and his wife Tara, Chapin, S.C., three grandchildren, Owen Christman, Wilkes-Barre, Tristyn and Olivia Bolton, Chapin, S.C. and a brother, David A. husband of Sandy Bolton, Tilden Township. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:30 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg with full Military Honors accorded by Ray Master Post, #217, Topton, PA.
