Salvatore R. Perrotto

Salvatore R. "Sam" Perrotto, 81, of West Reading, passed away October 10, 2014 in Manor at Market Square.

He was the husband of Josephine (Fonte) Perrotto.

Born September 1, 1933 in Reading, he was a son of the late Joseph J. and Sally (Palmisano) Perrotto.

He was a 1951 graduate of Reading High School and attended Valley Forge Military Academy and Gettysburg College.

Sam was a branch manager for American Bank for 19 years and then was a property manager for Park Road Real Estate, retiring in 1988. After retirement he worked part time as a courier for ASAP, West Reading, and Quick Courier, Plymouth Meeting.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Sam was a musician and played in various bands in the Berks County area.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his two sons: Joseph M. Perrotto, Shoemakersville, and David S. Perrotto, Muhlenberg Township. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Jennifer, wife of Joel Wagaman; and Steve, husband of Krysten Perrotto; and his great-grandson, Benjamen Wagaman.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
