Salvatore J. Cerniglia

Salvatore "Sal" J. Cerniglia, 54, of Cumru passed away on September 24, 2024 at Sinking Spring Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Reading, Sal was raised by his parents, the late Santo C. and Santina E. (Attinello) Cerniglia, alongside his two sisters: Maria J., wife of Kevin Ebert, of Center Valley, PA; and the late Lena J. Cerniglia, who passed away in November of 2017.

Sal went on to graduate from Holy Name High School in 1987. He then attended Lincoln Tech. This led him to pursue a career in production, in which he worked for both Coca-Cola and Reading Body Works.

Sal was an avid supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles. He belonged to Victor Emmanuel's Men's Lodge and had a passion for cooking. Sal will be remembered for his cheerful demeanor and constant smile.

In addition to his sister Maria, Sal is survived by his nieces and nephews: Julian McDade, husband of Kaitlin, Marco Spinosa, and Alexa Spinosa. He will be missed dearly by his family and all those that knew him.

A prayer service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 10AM at the Chapel of St. George at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605. Entombment will follow.
