Sally H. (Hammer) King, 69, of Mt. Penn, passed away June 27, 2012 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
She was the wife of Clarence L. King Sr, whom she married November 22, 1963.
Born in Hopeland, PA, she was the daughter of the late Irvin K. and Helen E. (Houtz) Hammer.
She was the Head of Housekeeping for Dutch Colony for 18 years.
Sally was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved animals, cooking, gardening, and traveling.
In addition to her husband she is survived by four children: Clarence L. King, Jr., husband of Dawn M. King, Reading; Karen Marie Krieger, York; Sharon Lee, wife of David Madures, Snow Hill, and Mellisa Ann King, Deer Lake. Eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive her. She will be dearly missed by her cats: Smokey and Snowball.
Sally was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Louise King and one grandchild.
Services will be Sunday at 5 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. A viewing will be 3 to 5 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
