Sally Ann Holder

Sally Ann (Robison) Holder, 81, entered the Church Triumphant on December 3, 2012 in her family home in Reading.

Her husband, Rev. Richard C. Holder, died December 7, 2010.

Born in Erie, she was a daughter of the late Gladys C. (Miller) and John E. Robison.

She was a 1949 graduate of Erie East High School; 1953 graduate of Edinboro University and received her master's degree in education from Penn State University in 1956.

Sally was a teacher for the Erie School District, Edinboro School District, Berks County Intermediate Unit and retired in 1991 from the Reading School District where she taught in the gifted program for many years. Within Reading she taught at 5th and Spring Elementary, Thomas Ford Elementary, Amanda Stoudt Elementary and 13th and Union Elementary. She touched the lives of many students in her years of teaching.

She was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church.

Sally is survived by her son, Rev. Douglas R. Holder, partner of John Farmer, Reading. She is also survived by her three grandchildren: Laura, Abigale, Ryan and her great-grandson, Jayden. She was also a foster parent for 12 children.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Poipu, Kauai, Hawaii.
