Sallie A. Sanders

Sallie A. "Gannie" (Breidegam) Sanders, 96, of Rockland Township, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012 in Reading Hospital where she was a patient since August 7th.

Her husband, Earl P. Sanders passed away on January 31, 1957.

Born in Dryville, she was a daughter of the late Gideon and Sadie (Haas) Breidegam.

She was employed in the grid casting department with East Penn Manufacturing (DEKA) for many years retiring in 1982.

She was a member of Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, Dryville and the Lyons and Kutztown Fire Companies Ladies Auxillary. She loved gardening, embroidering, crocheting and socializing with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters: Fay S. Marko of Topton; Janet H. Swoyer of New Jerusalem; Sandra A. Miller of Boyers Junction and Deane K. Smith of Manchester, Maryland. Also her Brother: Marvin Breidegam of Boyertown and Sister: Hope Kniss of Oley as well as 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a granddaughter and her longtime companion Earl Rhoads.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 in Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, 16 Fleetwood Road, Fleetwood, Pa. 19522 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends and family may view on Saturday from 9:30-11:00 am. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
