Ruth G. Stott

Ruth G. (Gates) Stott, 81, of Cumru Township, died Friday, December 15, 2006 at 8:00 am in Berkshire Center, Exeter Township, where she had been a patient since November 1st.

She was married October 12, 1946 to Oliver C. Stott who died April 22, 2005.

Born March 21, 1925 in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mary R. (Ruth) Gates.

Ruth was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School and a 1945 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Shillington.

Ruth was employed a number of years as a registered nurse with Dr. Herman Kotzen and Dr. Vincent Moffitt of West Reading, retiring in 1995.

She is survived by a son, John M. husband of Collen L (Whitcraft) Stott of Richmond Township.

Other survivors include two grandchildren, Jessica S. Stott of Fort Washington and Jed M. Stott of Portland, OR.

Services will be Tuesday at 4:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Viewing will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will be private in Laureldale Cemetery.
