Ruth N. Lengel

Ruth N. Lengel, 76, of formerly of Olive Street, West Reading, died July 15 at 1:15 p.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., Spring Township, where she had resided since July 2001.

Her husband, Robert C. Lengel, died Nov. 6, 1992.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Edna (Fairchild) Ely.

Lengel was employed for 24 years as an accounting clerk by Bank of Pennsylvania, retiring in January 1981.

She was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Congregational Church, Shillington.

Lengel was Sunday school superintendent at Trinity EC Church, Reading, from 1968 to 1972.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in St. Luke's Church. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
