Ruth E. Leckrone

Ruth E. Leckrone, 92, lastly of Exeter Township, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:40 pm in Berkshire Center where she had been a resident.

Her husband, Edward R. Leckrone passed away on December 6, 1976.

Born in York, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Elnora (Worley) Gibbs.

She was a 1937 graduate of York High School and was a member of Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, Jacksonwald.

She was employed in the file department at CNA Insurance, Reading for many years, retiring in 1982.

She is survived by her daughter: Carole R., wife of Barry Hecker of Birdsboro and her granddaughters; Barbara Rhein and Karen, wife of Tracy Reifsnyder. She is also survived by her Great grandchildren: Melody and Tyler and her great great granddaughter: Destiny. She was predeceased by four brothers.

Services and burial in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton will be private at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, 250 Church Lane Road, Reading, Pa. 19606. Blankenbiller Funeral Home, Oley is in charge of arrangements.
