Ruth Ann Kershner-Ramos

Ruth Ann Kershner-Ramos, 63, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at her Mohrsville home. She was the wife of Jaime Ramos and mother of Abram, Gabriela, and Leanna.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late George Kershner and Jane (Mohn) Kershner of Mohrsville. Ruth graduated from Schuylkill Valley High School (Class of 1978) before completing her degree in Art at Kutztown University in 1982, Magna Cum Laude.

Ruth dedicated her life to raising her family. Before becoming a mother, Ruth served a mission in Chile in Talca, Talcahuano, and Angol from 1983 to 1984 and returned home in 1985. She drove for the American Eagle Express Company as a Courier to the World Trade Center from 1987 to 1989. She shared her love and skills for art by drawing the corporate logo for Synergen Tech, the Bob Ebeling Company, and drew a placement design for the Kempton Hotel. Ruth was fluent in Spanish since the age of 16, and worked as a substitute Spanish teacher at Schuylkill Valley High School. She also offered private Spanish lessons. She helped her community by working the election polls for Centre Township. She also served as an officer at the Berks County Republican Women in 2010. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and the company of many beloved pets.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Jaime, children: Abram Ramos, Gabriela Ramos, and Leanna Ramos, and step-daughters Marisol Rosado Ramos, Marilyn Falu, and Maggie Aris-Williams.
