Ruth A. Kamp

Ruth A. Kamp, 89, of Schuylkill Haven, died on Thursday morning in Schuylkill Medical Center South Jackson, Pottsville. Born on February 26, 1926, in West Brunswick Township, she was the daughter of the late Furman and Emma A. (Miller) Bensinger. She was a 1942 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Drehersville. Ruth taught Sunday School for 15 years at Zions United Methodist Church, New Ringgold. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary Community Fire Company, New Ringgold. Ruth was the New Ringgold Borough Auditor for 10 years and spent her life as a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne R. Kamp, in August 2012; brothers: Roy, Harold, Harry, and Fred; sisters: Helen, Bertha, Marie, and Martha. Ruth is survived by a daughter, Deborah Margavage, of Schuylkill Haven; a son: Dennis Kamp, husband of Judy, of Oxford, PA; brother, Arthur O. Bensinger, of Orwigsburg and sisters: Irene Kauffman, of Wisconsin and Mildred Krammes, of Orwigsburg; grandchildren: Andrew and Kathleen Kamp; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20th at 11:00 a.m. in Salem United Methodist Church, Drehersville, with the Rev. James Fryer and Rev. Daniel Herner officiating. A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service in the church. Interment will follow in Drehersville Cemetery.
