Ruth E. High

Ruth E. High, 89, of Temple, died June 7, 2010 in ManorCare Health Services, Spring Township.

She was the wife of Bruce S. High Sr., of Temple.

Born in Reading, PA on June 4, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Clarence V. and Gertrude (Folk) Haines.

Ruth worked as a machine operator with the former Lyons Knitwear, Temple for 19 years before retiring in 1982.

She was a 1940 graduate of Reading High School.

Ruth was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Reading.

She is also survived by a son, Bruce S. Jr., husband of Judith M. (Weidner) High of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include two grandchildren: Lori A. (High), wife of Mark A. Delmonico of Laureldale and Brad D., husband of Lindsay I. (Graul) High of Temple and a great grandson, Lincoln J. High of Temple.

Services will be held Friday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. Robin Henry officiating. No public viewing. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
