Ruth M. Hagaman

Ruth May (Smith) Hagaman, 84, of Derry Township, Dauphin County and formerly of Reading, died November 12, 2008 at 3:40 pm in the Hershey Medical Center, where she had been since November 9th. She was the wife of Allan Emmett Hagaman, whom she married March 8, 1947. Born in Reading on May 30, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Lapsley) Smith. She was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School. Ruth was employed a number of years as a bookkeeper with Reading Trust. She was a member of Lower Paxton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, Harrisburg. Ruth is also survived by three children: Edward A., husband of Lori A. (Rost) Hagaman of York; Donald E., husband of Arlene M. (Peters) Hagaman of Cypress, Texas and Susan H. (Hagaman), wife of Benton E. Wigton of Harrisburg. Other survivors include a brother; Harry E. Smith of Spring Township; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was expecting her ninth great grandchild in two weeks. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, November 18th at 11:00 am in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 22nd at 2:00 pm in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 5761 Union Deposit Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111. Edward J.
