Ruth E. Noon, 88, of West Reading, died February 13, 2010 in Berkshire Commons, Exeter Township, surrounded by her loving family.
Her husband, James E. Noon, died September 13, 2003.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Herbert W. and Alma (Schaeffer) Fromm.
Ruth was a 1939 graduate of Reading High School.
She was employed for many years as a waitress, retiring in 1987.
Ruth was a member of the West Reading Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary as well as the West Reading Bicentennial Committee.
She was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Reading.
Ruth loved spending time with her large family and playing Bingo. She was known for her warm smile, big heart, wonderful cooking and for hosting her family for Sunday brunch.
She is survived by her nine children: Patricia Noon; Linda, wife of Michael Kramer; Joan, wife of Victor Lysczek; Mary, wife of Donald Muller; Michael, husband of Mary Jean Noon; Teresa Sanders; Kathleen, wife of John Marabella; Colleen, wife of Michael Hayes; Regina, wife of Scott Hart; 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and a brother George Fromm of Louisville, KY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
