Ruth M. Barber

Ruth M. Barber, 57, Kenhorst, passed away Nov. 21, 2006, in Reading Hospital. Ruth was the wife of Daniel E. Barber.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of Daisy (Greiss) Herring, Wyomissing, and the late Raymond Herring.

Ruth worked as an engineering clerk for Bell Telephone for 23 years until 1996 and later worked for D&E Communication, Birdsboro, for 10 years, retiring Jan. 19, 2006.

She was a 1966 graduate of Reading High School.

She was a member of The Bridge Church, Grill.

Ruth is also survived by a son, Ryan J. Hyneman, Reading; and three stepsons: Jeffrey Barber, Telford; Jason Barber, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and Joshua Barber, Warminster.

Other survivors include a sister, Gloria A. (Herring), wife of Anthony Lascoskie, Wernersville.

There is also a grandchild, Rylan Hyneman.

She was predeceased by a sister, Jean Herring.

There will be a Celebration of Life service Monday at 7 p.m. in The Bridge Church, Route 724 and High Boulevard. Burial will be private.
