Ruth Ann Levan

Ruth Ann (Clauser) Levan, 75, of Muhlenberg Township, died peacefully in the loving care of her family, December 15th at 5:30 am at her daughter's residence in Hockessin, Delaware. Heartland Hospice assisted the family in her care.

Born in Norristown, she was a daughter of the late George G. and Esther M. (Marburger) Clauser.

Ruth graduated from Reading High School in 1948 and Albright College in 1986.

She was employed 10 years as an accountant at Tenneco, Muhlenberg Township and later in the same capacity at Reading Aviation, Bern Township, before retiring in 1995.

Ruth is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Levan wife of Joseph Ycas of Hockessin, Delaware, and her two sons, Lee H. husband of Diane (Dennis) Levan of Wyomissing and John R. husband of Beth Y. (Wagner) Levan of Lower Heidelberg Township.

She is also survived by a sister, Blanche (Clauser) Link of Exeter Township and six grandsons, Gabriel, Nathan, Peter Ycas, John D. and Lee Levan Jr., and John S. Levan.

Ruth was predeceased by a brother, George Clauser in 2005.

Services will be Monday at 11:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Viewing one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Summer Hill Cemetery, Schuylkill County.
