Ruth E. Angstadt

Ruth Estella (Eyrich) Angstadt, 93, formerly of River Road, Muhlenberg Township, died March 14, 2007 at 10:30 am in Spruce Manor, West Reading, where she had been a resident since August 2005.

She was the widow of Harvey E. Angstadt, who died November 2, 1964.

Born August 9, 1913 in Stony Creek Mills, she was a daughter of the late Milton Eyrich and Mary (Lutz) Reider.

She was a charter member of Rosedale United Church of Christ, Laureldale.

Ruth was employed 13 years in the quality control department with Polymer Corporation, Reading, before retiring in 1978.

She is survived by two sons, Harry E. Angstadt of Wythville, Vir., and Paul A. Angstadt of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include six daughters, Elaine D.A. Evans of Muhlenberg Twp., Susan M. Brommer of Muhlenberg Twp., Judith A. Moyer of Fleetwood, Mary A. Sallada of Reading, Diane L. Choiniere of Laureldale and Emmalou Angstadt of Muhlenberg Twp.

She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Ruth was predeceased by a sister, Edith Beadencup and two sons, W. David Angstadt, who died Sept., 1969 and James A. Angstadt, who died March 2005.

Services will be Monday at 10:00 am in Rosedale United Church of Christ, 1301 Bellevue Ave., Laureldale, PA 19605 with Rev. Richard A. Leiby officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services in the church. Burial will be in Spies-Zion Cemetery, Alsace Township.
