Russell F. Lutz, 81, of Womelsdorf, died September 8, 2009 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
He was the husband of Florence (Clements) Lutz.
Born in State Hill, he was a son of the late Frank J. and Mary (Ernst) Lutz.
He was a painter and wallpaper hanger by trade, working for his father, and later established his own painting company.
Russell was a U.S. veteran serving in WWII.
He was a lifetime member of the Womelsdorf VFW.
Russell was a loving husband, father and a great pop-pop. He was a hard worker all his life who did anything to help his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Randall D., husband of Linda, Robesonia; his two daughters: Debra A., and Sandra L., wife of Robert Carl, all of Womelsdorf and his sister, Ruth, widow of Bill Madden, Robesonia. Two grandchildren: Kevin R., husband of Tiffany, Fivepointville and Keith D., Robesonia, also survive him.
Also surviving is his dog, Sweetie.
Russell was predeceased by his three sisters: Betty Quell, June Lutz and Shirley Madenford.
A Memorial Service will be Friday at 7 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Friends may call 6 – 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
