Russell Thomas Long, Jr., a loving father and grandfather, 68, died June 9, 2010 in his Temple residence.
Born March 15, 1942 in Reading, he was a son of the late Russell Thomas Long Sr. and June Catherine (Weber), wife of the late Gaton Lackwood, Sr.
Russell was a 1960 graduate of Reading High School. He also took realty classes at Penn State.
He was employed as a Building Maintenance Engineer with Teamsters Local #429, Wyomissing for 24 years, retiring in 2001.
Russell served in the U.S. Navy.
He enjoyed coin collecting and antiquing.
Surviving are four children: Jane S. (Long), wife of Eugene C. Manmiller of Temple; Samantha L. Long of Conshohocken; Alexander T. Long of Lenhartsville and Nicholas J. Long of Philadelphia.
Other survivors include three sisters, Linda M. (Long), wife of Paul R. Adams of Alsace Township; JoAnn M. (Long), wife of Dennis A. Keller of Havre De Grace, MD and Judith M. (Long) Fisher of Schuylkill Haven; a brother David W., husband of Carmen L. (Rodriguez) Long of Mohrsville and a step-brother, Gaton, husband of Dianne (Davis) Lackwood of New Jersey.
There are also two granddaughters, Charlotte R. and Aubrey M. Manmiller.
