Russell J. Lesher

Russell John Lesher Sr., 81, died October 26th at 2:39 am in his residence at 3949 Rosewood Road, (Muhlenberg Township), Reading, Pa 19605.

He was married 62 years to Mildred E. (Levan) Lesher.

Born in Shoemakersville, he was a son of the late John and Verna (______) Lesher.

He was a crane operator for 36 years at Dana Corporation, Reading, before retiring in 1979.

Lesher was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

He was a life member of the Goodwill Fire Company Beneficial Association.

Lesher was also a member of the Temple Democratic Club.

He is also survived by a son, Russell J. Lesher Jr., of Lower Alsace Township.

Other survivors include two granddaughters, Beth (Lesher) Maurer and Heather (Lesher) Krauss.

There are also two great grandsons, Noah and Alex Krauss.

Services will be Thursday at 10:00am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Verne E. Snyder officiating. Viewing from 9:00am until time of service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
