Russell Allen Crutchfield

Russell Allen Crutchfield, 50, of 4220 Danor Drive., (Muhlenberg Township, Riverview Park) Reading, Pa 19605 and formerly of Erickson Drive, Johnstown, died December 12th at 9:58 am in the Emergency Room at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was married May 21, 1953 to Bernice Elaine (Overton) Crutchfield who was also formerly of Debra Drive, Meadville, Pa.

Born in Mc Keesport, Allegheny County, he was a son of the late Charles Crutchfield and Nancy (Summers) Hill.

He was a 1971 graduate of Schenley High School, Pittsburgh and a 1975 graduate of Thiel College, Greenville, Pa.

Crutchfield last worked November 11th as a trainer for Century 21, Park Road, Wyomissing, where he worked for eight months.

He previously worked 19 years as a trainer for GPU, Muhlenberg Township until February 2002.

Crutchfield also worked the last five years as a stage manager for the Berks Jazz Fest and also worked for two years for the sovereign Center in the security department, last working in October.

He is also survived by a son, Brandon A. Crutchfield, a student at Kutztown University.

Other survivors include two brothers, James Crutchfield of Akron, Ohio and Robert Crutchfield of Seattle, Washington.

Crutchfield also is survived by a half-sister, June (Crutchfield) ________ of __________.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Viewing Tuesday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Tuckerton. Contributions may be made to Pennsylvania Dialysis Clinic of Reading, 625 Spring Street, Wyomissing, Pa 19610.
