Russell V. Becker

Russell V. Becker, Sr., 92, formerly of Wyomissing, died March 12, 2007 in Reading Hospital.

His wife, Mary D. (Zawislak) Becker, died January 3, 2002.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Alvin and Emma (Lengle) Becker.

He was employed as an engineer for Reading Company for 35 years retiring in 1979.

Russell was a graduate of Reading High School in 1933.

He is survived by two sons, Russell, Jr., Sinking Spring and Robert G., Mohnton; and one daughter, Diane M. (Becker) Boni, Pottstown. Five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive him.

A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Graveside services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Pleasant View Cemetery.
