Russel Edward Schollenberger

Russel Edward Schollenberger, 91, of West Reading, passed away February 20, 2023, at Reading Hospital - Tower Health.

He was the loving husband of Phyllis L. (Bailey) Schollenberger for 71 years.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, he was the son of the late Rupert Schollenberger and E. Madine (Weiser) Pietrowicz.

Russel was employed by Electrolux for 45 years as an outside sales professional, retiring in 1994.

Russel enjoyed listening and attending jazz shows all around Berks County and supporting both high school and college sports teams.

He was an avid golfer who proudly scored a hole in one at the Willow Hollow Golf Course.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Ronald A., husband of Amanda Schollenberger, Riverdale, NY, and Caren L. Hester, Thousand Oaks, CA; one sister, Nancy Mierzejewski; three grandchildren: Heather, wife of Jeff Stone, Tyler, husband of Amanda Hester and Samuel Schollenberger; and one great-grandson, Benjamin Hester.

Services will be Friday, February 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at KUHN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC.., 5153 KUTZTOWN RD., TEMPLE, PA. 19560 with burial to follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. A viewing will be Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
