Russel S. Bruckart

Russel S. Bruckart Jr., 75, Spring Township, died May 5 at 5:35 p.m. in ManorCare Health Services, Inc., Spring Township, where he had been a resident since August.

He was the husband of Santina A. (Guido) Bruckart.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Russel S. and Geneva C. (Eidam) Bruckart.

Bruckart had been employed as a welder by Dana Corp., Reading, for 31 years, retiring in 1979. He was later employed as a letter carrier from the West Lawn Post Office until 1994.

He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church, West Lawn.

Bruckart was an Army veteran.

He was a 33rd degree Mason with the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Reading.

Also surviving are three daughters: Sandra A. (Bruckart) DeBiec, West Lawn; Geneva J. (Bruckart) Aulenbach, Womelsdorf; and Tina M. (Bruckart) Kocevar, Wyomissing.

Other survivors include three brothers: Robert, Kenhorst; John, Wyomissing; and Walter, Glen Allen, Va.; and three sisters: Clara (Bruckart) Newpher, Houston; Ethel (Bruckart) Soraporu, York; and Geneva Bruckart, New Cumberland, Cumberland County.

There are also nine grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Advent Lutheran Church. Friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 on Monday at Advent Lutheran Church. Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Research 501 Washington Street Suite 801 Reading, PA 19601.Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of the arrangements.
