Rudolph Scalese Sr., 77, of Mimosa Drive, Dublin, Ga., formerly of Laureldale, died April 20 at 11:14 p.m. in the Lebanon Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he had been a patient six days.
He was the husband of Theresa (Madona) Scalese.
Born in Kent, Ohio, he was a son of the late John and Santa (LaMacchia) Scalese.
Scalese was employed for 30 years as a mail carrier by the Postal Service in the Reading Post Office, retiring in 1985.
He was a 1945 graduate of Wilson High School.
Scalese was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Scalese is also survived by two sons, Rudolph Jr., Exeter Township, and Dennis, Dublin.
Other survivors include two brothers, Vincent, Whitfield, and Thomas Sr., Sinking Spring.
There are also four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale, is in charge of arrangements.
