Ruby Lenovich

Ruby Lenovich, 78, of Wyomissing, passed away on Thursday, January 16th at the Reading Hospital.

Ruby was born in Libano, Colombia, to her loving parents, the late Martin and Esther (Lopez) Alba. She grew up here alongside her 9 siblings: Hernan Alba, Martin Alba, Ercilia Camelo, Nelson Alba, Esther Gonzalez, Didier Alba, Rosemary Posada, Martha Geraldo, and Hector Alba; before moving to America.

In Colombia she met the love of her life, the late Thomas Lenovich, whom she married on June 21, 1971 and raised two lovely daughters with: Christina DeJesus, wife of Jose DeJesus and Sabrina Gonzalez, wife of James Gonzalez. Ruby and Thomas were also blessed with five wonderful grandchildren: Jovonni DeJesus, Jailene DeJesus, Sophia Ciabattoni, Adrianna Ciabattoni, and Dominique Gonzalez. She was loved greatly and will be missed dearly by all those in her family and all those who knew her.

Ruby worked in the social services field. She was very active in the Hispanic community. Ruby was very committed to her husband and family. She always extended a helping hand whenever it was needed. Ruby enjoyed traveling with her husband. She attended her grandchildren's sporting events and activities. She was very proud of her Colombian roots and had a strong Catholic faith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Ruby's memory on Wednesday, January 22, at 11:00 am at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 2600 St. Albans Dr., Reading, PA 19606. A viewing will be held in the church that morning beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home is honored to serve the Lenovich family.
