Roy Kohr

Roy Kohr, 73, of Temple died April 22, 2011 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.

He was the husband of Audrey Kent (Davis) Kohr whom he married June 13, 1959.

Born March 15, 1938 in Tremont, PA, he was a son of the late Charles and Annie (Reinbold) Kohr.

Roy was employed with Interstate Dress Carriers, Lehighton as a truck loader.

He was also employed by Farmer Brown Grocery Store.

Roy was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Bern Township where he was treasurer and caretaker of the church for many years.

Also surviving are two sons: Roy Kohr, Jr. and his close personal friend, Maria I. Watson of Pottstown and Alan C., husband of Wendy M. (Wood) Kohr of Boalsburg, Centre County.

Other survivors include a sister, Ethel Derr of Myerstown and three brothers, Charles and Richard Kohr, both of Myerstown and Russell Kohr of Lebanon.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, Aaron, Clarissa, Kyle, Kelly and Kory and two great grandchildren, Ian and Elizabeth.

Roy was predeceased by a son, Andrew M. Kohr who died April 27, 1995.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery, 650 Fritztown Road, Spring Township.
