Rosemary Daly

Rosemary Daly, 83, of Hyde Park, died July 25 in the presence of her loving family in Reading Hospital.

She was married April 27, 1946 to the late Joseph F. Daly, who died July 22, 1985.

Born July 18, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Constance and Julia (Yawyn) Wancio.

She was a parishioner of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park, where she was an active member of the Women's Club.

Rosemary was Judge of Elections for Muhlenberg Township, 4th Precinct for over 30 years.

Some of the things she loved to do included: gardening, playing poker with friends and family and traveling.

She was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church Seniors Club.

Rosemary was a graduate of Shamokin High School.

Survivors include four daughters, Rose Marie wife of Rick Good, Reading, Louise wife of James Snell, Wyomissing, Catherine wife of Ted Melot, Reading and Diane widow of Peter Luchetta, Fleetwood. There are also 2 sons, Anthony, Reading and James husband of Debi, Shillington.

Other survivors include one brother, Walter husband of Marge Wancio, Florida and one sister Louise (Wancio) widow of Joseph G. Daley, North Carolina. She was predeceased by 5 brothers and one sister.

Rosemary is also survived by 9 loving grandchildren, Christina Kramer, Timothy Ludwig, Tammy Taylor, Christopher Good, Melissa Good, Jared Melot, Juana Melot, Nicholas Luchetta and Jessica Luchetta. Other survivors include 11 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Contributions may be made to Holy Guardian Angels RCC Memorial Fund 3121 Kutztown Road Reading, PA 19605 or the American Heart Association 1019 Mumma Road Wormleysburg, PA 17041.
