Rose Marie Cronk

Rose Marie Cronk (née Burns), of Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on August 24, 1947, in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family and a warm-hearted spirit that touched all who knew her.

Rose began her professional journey as a secretary at PP&L. After marrying Richard P. Cronk, she dedicated herself fully to raising their children, spending 15 years as a stay-at-home mother. Her commitment to her family never wavered; even after returning to the workforce as a secretary and later an office manager at a doctor's office in Reading, she remained the heart of her household; organizing meals, managing daily routines, and ensuring that her loved ones were always cared for.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Lisa M. Cronk and son Scott M. Cronk. Rose also leaves behind her sister Mary E. Burns and Mary's partner, Stephen Ballo, Jr. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard P. Cronk.

Rose had a joyful love for games of all kinds-whether it was cards around the table with family, board games during gatherings, or computer hidden object games that kept her sharp and entertained. She also had a special fondness for sending greeting cards; a tradition she upheld with great enthusiasm. Her frequent exchanges with her best friend Linda Smith were legendary; they often sent multiple cards to each other each week, sharing laughter and memories, that brightened each other's days, keeping Hallmark in business.

Her nurturing presence extended beyond immediate family. She was the epicenter of many lives, offering support and care with quiet strength and unwavering love. Whether through a home-cooked meal or a thoughtful card in the mail, Rose found countless ways to show those around her how much they mattered.
