Rose R. Elmo Fritz

Rose R. Elmo Fritz, 92, of Reading, died July 29, 2010 in Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was the wife of Harold L. Fritz and the late Samuel G. Elmo.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Antonino and Josephine (Torcivia) Russo.

Rose worked in the factory for Western Electric and then as a seamstress for various companies until her retirement. She was a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Rose devoted her life to her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great granddaughter. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children: Nina P., wife of John Haag, II., Womelsdorf; Anthony C., husband of Marlene Z. Elmo, Reading and Samuel G., husband of Debi L. Elmo, Highland Mills, NY; her two step-daughters: Sandra L., wife of Douglas Kring, Millsboro, DE and Rhonda L., wife of Nick Roschinsky, Wernersville. There are twelve grandchildren: Debra, Jeffrey, James, Anthony J., Anthony S., Jennifer, Rosemarie, Alison, Trevor, Jason, Valerie and Duane and fifteen great grandchildren: Angela, Derek, John IV., Alicia, Gavin, Ashton, Juleah, Benjamin, Maxwell, Mackenzie, Abigail, Brandon, Sarah, Michael and Todd. There is also one great-great granddaughter, Brianna.

Rose was predeceased by her five siblings: Tony, Santo, Jenny, Samuel and Charlie, as well as her grandson, John III.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, 237 Franklin St., Reading PA 19602. A viewing will be Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Holy Rosary R.C. Church at the above address.
