Rose M. Cittadini

Rose M. (Camilli) Cittadini, 86, of Muhlenberg Township, died peacefully May 2, 2010 in St. Joseph Medical Center, surrounded by her loving daughter, son-in-law and their children.

She was predeceased by her husband Frank Cittadini in 1993 and a step son, Francis Cittadini.

Born in Temple, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria (DeAscentis) Camilli.

Rose was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

She worked as a secretary for Kawecki-Berylco and later in the office of a business owned by her husband, Tenth Avenue Hosiery Company. Her priority, however, was her family. Known as Nanny, she was like a second mother to her grandchildren, Emily and Ben, and took a great deal of pride in her family and their accomplishments.

Her generosity, selflessness and gentle nature touched the lives of all she knew, and she will be dearly missed.

Rose was a member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Muhlenberg Township.

She enjoyed the activities and friendships experienced during the last 1 1/2 years of her life that she spent at Sacred Heart Villa in Laureldale.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda A., wife of R. Michael Bell, Reading; her sister, Mamie Camilli, Laureldale; her five grandchildren: Emily E. Bell, Benjamin R. Bell, Dustin M. Bell, Andrea C. Stitzman, Tressa D. Lance and her three great-grandchildren: Dylan, Siena and Kaleena.

Rose was predeceased by her five siblings: Louis, Frank, Corrado, Fred and Viola.

A Mass of Christain Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angles R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd., Hyde Park. Viewings will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
