Rose A. Sedoti

Rose Ann (Turrisi) Sedoti, 86, died April 1, 2010 in Berks Heim, Bern Township.

She was married October 23, 1949 to Joseph Sedoti, who died September 17, 1995.

Born in Reading, PA on November 16, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rosa (Marullo) Turrisi.

She was employed for many years as a seamstress with Reading Clothing.

Rose was later employed for over 20 years as a bookkeeper with Sedoti's Reading Importing before retiring.

She attended Reading High School.

Rose was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

She was an avid bingo player.

Rose is survived by two daughters: Sandra L., wife of Rodney R. Shappell of Perry Township and Patricia A., wife of Richard J. Cirulli of Exeter Township.

Other survivors include three siblings: Salvatore of Shillington; Bessie Motacki of Sinking Spring and Grace Geiger of Shillington.

There are also three grandchildren: Amy M. Shappell-Jones, Megan E. Cirulli and Kimberly A. (Shappell), wife of Dr. Scott J. Kohler and one great grandson, Joseph S. Kohler.

Rose is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by four siblings: Anthony Turrisi, Nicholas Turrisi, Mary Bondanza and Beatrice Chirileison.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 am in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, 237 Franklin Street, Reading, PA 19602. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:30 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
