Rosalind Blessing, 77, of Reading, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, at Reading Hospital.
Born on April 5, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Paul Serafino, Sr. and Rosaria "Sara" Mollica. Rosalind was also preceded in death by her beloved companion, James Gillmore, who passed away in 1995; her sister, Pauline Rosinski; and her brother, Paul Serafino, Jr.
Rosalind worked a variety of jobs throughout her life in Reading. She served as a lunch lady for the local school district and later worked as a janitor at the Berks County Courthouse. She took pride in her work and enjoyed the friendships she made along the way.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Cristina Gillmore and her husband, Robert Koziol, of Reading, and Diana Colon and her partner, Richard Mendoza, of Muhlenberg Township. She was a devoted grandmother to Joseph Colon and his wife, Stephanie, of Sinking Spring; Rebecca Colon of Reading; and Sierra Mendoza. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren, who brought her much joy.
Rosalind was a faithful member of St. Peter's Church. She had a love for flowers and could often be found watching her favorite soap operas and game shows. She enjoyed parties, dancing, and spending time with family and friends. She loved to "carry on," as her children affectionately described her, bringing laughter and conversation wherever she went. Above all, Rosalind was remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and the love she shared with those around her.
Services will be private.
