Ronald Richard Stoudt

Ronald Richard Stoudt, 80, formerly of West Reading, died January 30, 2013 in the Keystone Villa, Fleetwood.

He was the husband of Rosemary T. (LePera) Stoudt.

Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Samuel Wilson and Jennie (Sollenberger) Stoudt.

Ron was a 1950 graduate of West Reading High School; earned his associate's degree from the NCO Academy and received his flight certification from the University of Minnesota.

He was an aircraft engine mechanic from 1959 to 1969. In 1969 he earned his wings and worked as a flight engineer until his retirement in 1992.

Ron was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1952 to 1956 and a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving from 1959 to 1992. He served with the 193rd Special Operations Group, Harrisburg International Airport.

He was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Dr. Mark R. Stoudt, husband of Dr. Carelyn E. Campbell, Germantown, MD and their daughter, Kaitlyn E. Stoudt. Also surviving is his sister, Louise A., wife of John Reinert, Ronks.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd, Wyomissing, PA 19610. A viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the United Service Organizations P.O.
