Ronald C. Schira

Ronald Craig Schira, 70, passed away on May 2, 2025, in Reading. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Leonard Schira and Eleanor "Dolly" Schira. Ron graduated from Governor Mifflin High School and the Philadelphia College of the Arts. He was a locally renowned artist whose work still hangs and sells at the Yocum Institute. They also bestowed him with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions. Ron worked as an art critic for the Reading Eagle.

Ron will be remembered for his funny sense of humor and strong independent streak.

He is survived by his daughter, Deanna Rae Schira, brother, Ken Schira, and ex-wife and mother of Deanna, Stella Marie Schira.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
