Ronald Harvey Schaedler, 81, of Pike Township, died January 23, 2015, in the Pottstown Medical Center.
He was the widower of Patricia A. (Blatt) Schaedler.
Born January 20, 1934 in Reading, PA, he was a son of the late Mildred (Rauenzahn) Schaedler-Steward.
Ronald was a United States Navy Veteran and served in the Korean War.
He was employed for over 20 years as a security guard with Giorgio Foods, retiring in 1996.
Ronald was a volunteer fire policeman for over 30 years with the Earl Township Fire Company.
He was a Jeff Gordon, Rainbow warrior fan and a Raider's fan.
Ronald is survived by three children: Carol A., wife of Dale Hafer of Seaford, Delaware; Linda M., wife of Robert Shaffer of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Steven F., husband of Cheryl (Souders) Schaedler of Blandon.
He is also survived by four siblings: Gerald Schoedler of Reading; Margaret Luckenbill of Harrisburg; Betty Jean Smith of Blue Mountain and Elaine Sivic of Sinking Spring.
There are eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be celebrated Thursday, January 29th at 10:00 am in Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Muhlenberg Township.
