Ronald J. Pleitner

Ronald J. Pleitner, 70, of Bismarck, ND, passed away January 24, 2014 in Spruce Manor, West Reading.

His wife, Helen A. Pleitner, died December 29, 2011.

Born May 21, 1943 in Hammond, Indiana, he was a son of the late Edward and Florence (Marshall) Pleitner.

Ron was a long-haul truck driver for over 43 years, retiring in June 2013.

He was a member of St. Anne's R.C. Church, Bismarck, ND.

Ron was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in Vietnam.

He is survived by his step-children: Maria Mohiuddin, Bangladesh, Cindy (Ken) Connell, Bismarck, Linda (Keith) Nelson, West Fargo, and Brian (Deb) Kettleson, Devils Lake; his step-grandchildren, Cody Nelson, Cassey Nelson, Lane Nelson, Haakon Nelson, Alison (Steven) Blank, Michael Connell, Joey Matuska, Chance Connell, Austynn Kettleson, Shahin Mohiuddin, Sieful Mohiuddin and Nori Mohiuddin; his step-great-grandchildren, Tavin Connell and Myla and Liam Blank; and his two siblings: Mary Lou Pleitner, LaGrange, IL, and James E. Pleitner, Mohnton, PA.

Ron was predeceased by his sister, Bernadette Laser; his brother, Joseph Pleitner; and his step-son, Gary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated February 19, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Anne's R.C. Church, 1315 N 13th St, Bismarck, ND 58501. A visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Knights of Columbus, c/o St. Ann's R.C. Church at the above address, or St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Benedict's R.C.
