Ronald Lee Yocum, Jr.

Ronald Lee Yocum, Jr., 63, passed away on September 9, 2026, at Hershey Medical Center. He was the beloved life partner of Michelle Genilini.

Born in Phoenixville, Ronald was the son of the late Ronald Lee Yocum, Sr. and Barbara Kauffman. He graduated from Conrad Weiser High School in 1982 and went on to graduate from the Police Academy. He proudly served his community as the Chief of Police for Shoemakersville, a position that reflected his dedication to helping and protecting others.

Ronald was a hard worker through and through. He took great pride in being able to work with his hands and loved building things from the ground up. There was very little he wouldn't try to fix, create, or figure out. His determination and work ethic were a big part of who he was. He eventually owned and operated his own business, RDY Gutters Plus LLC, where he poured his time, talent, and pride into his work. Ronald didn't believe in taking the easy way out—he believed in working hard, getting the job done, and doing it right.

But to those who knew Ronald best, he was so much more than his work and accomplishments. He was a man with a heart bigger than words can describe—someone who was always giving, always helping, and always doing something for someone else. Ronald had a way of putting other people before himself without ever expecting anything in return. If someone needed a hand, a favor, something built or fixed, a laugh, or simply someone to be there, Ronald was often the person they could count on.

He had a personality that could light up a room. Ronald was charming, funny, quick-witted, and always had a joke or a comeback ready. You could rarely get the last word with Ronald, because he was sure to have something to say. His sense of humor was one of the things people loved most about him. He could make people laugh when they needed it most, and his jokes and unmistakable personality will be remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Ronald loved his family deeply. He worked hard for the people he loved and took pride in being someone they could depend on. His generosity, loyalty, humor, strength, and caring spirit touched countless lives. He gave freely of his time, his talents, and his heart. Whether he was working, building something, helping someone, telling a joke, or simply spending time with the people he loved, Ronald had a way of making himself a part of people's lives.

Ronald is survived by his life partner, Michelle Genilini; daughter, Andrea Wyman (Ralph); grandchildren, Destanee, Kayla, Amani, and Serenity; sisters, Barbara Ann Long (Bill), Denise Marie Yocum, and Marline McMillan; brothers, Frank M. Yocum (Christine), Kim McMillan (Tammy), and Kenny Holmes; and his beloved pets, Maggie Moo, Sable, and Blue.

Ronald will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. His laughter, his jokes, his hard-working hands, his willingness to build and fix just about anything, and most of all, his generous heart will live on in the hearts of those he left behind.

Ronald spent his life doing for others. He built things with his hands, but more importantly, he built memories, friendships, and a life filled with people who loved him. He gave so much of himself without asking for anything in return. His absence will leave a space that can never truly be filled, but the love, laughter, and kindness he shared will remain forever.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 5153 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA 19560.
