Ronald L. Moyer

Ronald L. Moyer, 64, of Reinholds, passed away August 10, 2009 in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Cheryn A. (Bilger) Moyer.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Charles and Anna (Weitzel) Moyer and a step-son of Ann Moyer, Myerstown.

He was a 1964 graduate of Wilson High School.

Ronald was employed as a Steward of Social Quarters for Cushion Peak Rod and Gun Club, Vinemont, groundskeeper for South Heidelberg Township and for 15 years by Century Tech Inc., Feasterville, as a construction supervisor. He also was a self-employed contractor for many years.

He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Vietnam War.

In addition to his wife and step-mother, he is survived by three daughters, Lisa M., wife of John Rocktashel, Sinking Spring, Brianne L., wife of Benjamin Speicher, Philadelphia and Kristin L. Moyer, fiancée of Cory Ringler, Reinholds; and three sons, Troy K. Moyer, Reading, Bryan D. Moyer, Portland, ME and David Moyer, Washington.

Ronald is also survived by two brothers, Eugene, husband of Nancy Moyer, and Leon, husband of Barbara Moyer, all of Winter Haven, FL; five grandchildren, Taryn Rocktashel, Abigail Rocktashel, Janelle Rocktashel, Mara Rocktashel and Brandon Ringler; and a great-grandson, Austin Hughes.

Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
