Ronald Arthur Hulet

Ronald A. Hulet, 87, of Hamburg, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Born in Schuylkill County, he was the son of Warren Hulet, Sr. and Lilas (Thompson) Hulet. He shared 50 years of marriage with Nancy Lou (Rissmiller) Hulet, before her passing in 2021.

After completing his education, Ronald made the commitment to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force. After being honorably discharged, he worked various jobs until he became a welder for Dana Corporation for over twenty years. He retired from Dana in 1998. Ronald kept busy during his retirement by working as a maintenance technician for Grosse & Quade Management and French Creek State Park. He also worked as a crossing guard for Hamburg Area School District.

Ronald was an active member of The Hamburg Legion. He was also once a proud volunteer with the Hamburg Fire Company.

He was a passionate baseball fan and enjoyed collecting baseball cards. His favorite team was the New York Yankees. Ronald also enjoyed watching football, especially when the Washington Redskins were on the field. He had a natural gift for connecting with others and loved to talk and joke around. Ronald took pride in his culinary skills and enjoyed cooking for his daughters.

He is survived by his daughters, Cindy L. Hoppes, of Hamburg, and Yvonne C., wife of Jeremy M. Wagner, of Hamburg. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Dillon Hoppes, Tiffany Hoppes, fiancé of Chris Fisher, Bryce Wagner, Brody Wagner, and Brennan Wagner. Also surviving are his great-grandchildren, Kinsley Fisher and Natalie Hoy, and his siblings, Harriet, wife of William Barker and Linda, wife of Edward Mitnitsky. Ronald will be missed by his canine companion, Pixie.

Ronald was predeceased by his siblings, Warren Hulet, Jr., and Stanley Hulet.

A viewing will be held Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 7-8:30PM at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 40 South Fourth Street, Hamburg. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 9AM with burial and military honors to follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
