Ronald Lee Grove

Ronald Lee Grove, 70, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Jessica A. (Daigle) Grove. They married on April 15, 2008 sharing 16 years together.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Robert and Arlene (Kohl) Grove. Ronald graduated from Twin Valley High School. He earned an AS degree in chemical engineering from Penn State University, a BS degree in chemistry from Alvernia College, and an MBA from St. Joseph University. Ron worked as a chemist for Gilbert Associates 1976-1980 and then for General Public Utilities / First Energy/ NRG from 1980 - 2024.

Ron loved cars, mostly Corvettes and car racing. He was a longtime member of the Skyline Drive Corvette Club and served as President in 1997, 1998, 2005, and 2006 and as National Corvette Museum Ambassador in 2023 and 2024. He also enjoyed model building and flying. Ronald always lived life with real zest and joy.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by her three children: Ellen Mitnick, Nora Howit, and Michael Wudi; grandchildren: Delaney Rowe, Johnny Mitnick, Asher Howit, Arsen Howit, and Michael Alan Wudi; great-grandson, Hawthorne Rowe, half-brother Mark Guigley, and an uncle, Ben Kohl.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at PJ Welihans in Reading.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Corvette Museum at 350 Corvette Dr, Bowling Green, KY 42101. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is honored to assist the Grove family. Condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
