Ronald L. Grosch, 77, of Wyomissing, PA died suddenly at home on Saturday December 27, 2025. He was born on October 5, 1948 in Warren, PA to the late Allan and Dorothy Grosch. Ron married his high school sweetheart, Deborah Jane Jones, on February 19, 1971.
Ron was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard from 1968 through 1974. He was employed by Pennsylvania Electric/ GPU/ MetEd from 1969-2002.
Ron was on many recreational sports teams including volleyball, basketball, racquetball, bowling and softball. On most summer nights you could find him and his family at the softball field or with the Coney Island softball team family. He loved spending time keeping his yard and vehicles looking meticulous, but his love language was acts of service, and his family members were often the recipients of his hard work and dedication. Ron was an avid Pittsburgh and Penn State sports fan. He loved to spend time with family watching games, with the biggest tradition being Steeler Sundays. Ron was a determined fighter as a two time cancer survivor. Most recently he had been battling Parkinson’s Disease by attending Rock Steady Boxing where he gained a whole new group of friends that became very important to him. He approached all of this with a quiet resilience.
Ron is survived by his wife Debi; his children: Carrie of Wyomissing, PA; Katie (Dave) of Kingwood, TX; Chad (Amy) of Leesport, PA; and Peter (Jessica) of Sinking Spring, PA; nine grandchildren: Jacob Grosch, Hanna Grosch, Kylee Grosch, Jocelyn Grosch, Grey Hartman, Reed Deihl, Drew Hartman, Olivia Grosch; and Craiden Grosch; and great granddaughter, Kinslee Fisher. A celebration of life will be held at State Hill Craft Cocktails & Kitchen in Wyomissing, PA, on Saturday, January 3, 2026 where friends are invited to stop in between the hours of 1-4 to offer condolences and share stories of Ron.
