Ronald Fisher

Ronald G. Fisher, 76, a devoted husband, father, and lifelong outdoorsman, passed away peacefully at his Exeter residence on Sunday, January 25, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Karen S. (Shaw) Fisher, with whom he would have celebrated 40 years of marriage this May.

Born in Reading to the late Donald G. and Helen M. (Blankenbiller) Fisher, Ron graduated in 1967 from Wyomissing Area High School, where he lettered as the starting center fielder on the baseball team. He went on to build a career spanning more than 45 years as an electrical engineer, beginning at Gilbert Associates and later retiring from STV, Inc. Community-minded and generous with his time, Ron volunteered with the Lincoln Park Lions Club, where he proudly served as President.

An avid outdoorsman, Ron enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing, and was a member of the Blakesley Fishing Club. He was also a passionate skier who cultivated treasured friendships on the slopes of Jack Frost and Big Boulder, as well as within the Lake Harmony community, where he and Karen spent countless seasons as semi-residents.

Above all, Ron was a devoted father who showed up with quiet consistency. He coached his son's teams from T-ball through Little League and never missed a game in the years that followed. Ron attended all of Ryan's ski races and volunteered on race days, setting and breaking down collective miles of pop fencing.

Left to treasure Ron's memory are his wife, Karen; his son, Ryan Fisher, fiancé of Jessica Desvarro, of Pittsburgh; and his cherished granddaughter, Mileena Noelle Fisher. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Karen L. Fisher, widow of David A. Fisher, of Wyomissing; his nephew, Jared Fisher, husband of Rachel, of Reading; his great-nephew, Logan Fisher; as well as his cousins, Stewart and Robert Keiser, and their families.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to NRA, https://donate.nra.org/Donate, or Travis Manion Foundation, https://www.travismanion.org/.

A Celebration of Life to honor Ron's appreciation of a drink and a joke will be announced at a future date. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
